Chambers of Mohit Jolly were established by Mr. Mohit Jolly, Advocate in January 2019
Mr. Jolly completed his LL.B. (Hons.) from Amity Law School, Delhi in the year 2005 and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade & Business Law from the Indian Society for International Law, New Delhi.
He joined the Bar in September 2005 and trained under the able guidance and mentorship of Sh. Amarjit Singh Chandhiok, Senior Advocate. Mr. Jolly has also worked as an Associate with J. Sagar Associate in the Regulatory Disputes Team and as a Senior Associate with Trilegal in Corporate and Commercial Disputes Team.
After his stint with premier law firms of the Country, Mr. Jolly established Imperia Law, a full service law firm, wherein Mr. Jolly was heading the Disputes practice of the Firm.
He has more than 18 years of experience as a leading corporate advisory and dispute resolution lawyer. He regularly advises and assists clients on issues involving commercial and corporate laws, real-estate, regulatory laws in the energy and infrastructure sector as well as telecommunication and broadcasting regulatory sector.
Mr. Jolly is particularly proficient in devising pre-litigation and litigation strategy and has extensive experience in representing domestic and international corporate clients at various courts and tribunals and has advised and represented domestic and international clients before Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court and other state High Courts, National Company Law Tribunal and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Company Law Board, Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal, Appellate Tribunal for Electricity etc. Mohit has also been advising and assisting clients in arbitrations in energy, real-estate and commercial disputes. He has also advised and represented clients in pre and post arbitration related court hearings including Section 9, 34 and 37 petitions and also execution of foreign awards before domestic courts.
Mr. Jolly has been advising and representing clients in matters before NCLT and NCLAT in proceedings arising out of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and Companies Act.
He has also advised clients on real estate projects including litigation, negotiation, drafting and vetting of development contracts, construction contracts, joint venture agreements, bid documents, agency and labour contracts, sale deeds, conveyance deeds, lease deeds, leave and license agreements, liaison with government departments like town and country planning, labour department, title and compliance due diligence including vetting of land records, mutation records, revenue records, land acquisition and consolidation issues.
Mr. Jolly is widely appreciated for rendering holistic advice to his clients, especially in the clean energy sector. He has been involved in preparing extensive documentation required in hydro and solar energy projects. His expertise encompasses advice on all intricacies and complexities of projects including taxation.
